Anikit, Owner of some most beautiful communities on orkut

Ankit Gupta is among some most popular and active orkut members, Ankit has a big contribution in providing a clean and healthy communities with more than 400,000 members moreover ankit is kind hearted and intelligent young man who always interested in doing new things for gaining knowledge. This interview of Ankit will put more light on his life, thoughts and about his activities in popular social networking site orkut.com.

INTERVIEW:

Zazo: Ankit Gupta is a management student in his final year, willing to become an entrepreneur this young man is also very popular in orkut, owning 7 beautiful and big communities with more than 400,000 members all over Ankit is rocking the orkut by providing a place for entertainment and learning.
Ankit is going to reveal the secret of his success in community owning and about his life.

Welcome Ankit, it’s a pleasure to have you here on Orkut's Hall of Fame.

Ankit: Thanks a lot zazo for the great honor though I don’t deserve it and their are many more people on orkut who have their success stories to share.

And yeah as such there is no secret for success in life coz am not yet successful :P

& regarding communities I own 7 communities but I aren’t a community master or anything like that

My only aim was to set a new record for creating fastest community ever on orkut and I think I was able to make it somehow though more than 90% of the people still don’t know whose the owner of that community :P

Zazo: Ankit pls tell us little about yourself, your background.

Ankit: Regarding my family and background I may be not rich by wealth but been blessed with everything a person wants in life, i.e. ocean hearted lovable parents :-)

Though I have hundreds and thousands of friends in school, college, locality and orkut off course but still I like being alone and I spend my most of the time in learning something or the other and teaching others what all I know and helping everyone in any sort of troubles is one of my passions as I believe in giving away to my maximum rather than expecting :-)

Whenever I am very happy or very sad i write poetry and reknowned as "shayar badnaam" everywhere :P for pissing off people with my poetry :D

I think my about me will be going a long way like this, so in short - I love being alone keeping my status single forever, one of the tallest guys around, 100% non-violent & calm till i am forced for being violent, have only one desire in life to see my family happy always and have no such desires(likes, dislikes or hobbies), hates abusive language, and its never ending about me of mine :P

Zazo: How you manage to handle such big communities at one time? Since when you are on orkut?

Ankit: As you can see most of them are moderated and have lots of moderators to manage,
I just keep a check on them regularly by checking out the forums once a day and deleting all irrelevant threads and banning unwanted members :P

I joined orkut around 11 months back but wasn’t much active as I didn’t even knew how to use it properly

I learnt how to post in a community in September and created my own first community and then was a bit regular user :-)

Zazo: Above all which is your favorite community of your own? where you like to hang out most of the time?

Ankit: My first and favorite community :-)

The name of the community is "sweetest people round da globe" and really the people there are pretty sweet :-)

Zazo: What are your other online activities when u are not logged in orkut? Do you surf any other social networking sites?

Ankit: Other than orkuting I keep trying new innovative things and rite now i am working on my chain of websites that I will be launching 1 by 1 in next couple of months.


I think I spend enough time on orkut already so there is no need of spending more time on any other social networking site: P

Zazo: What will be the aim of your upcoming web projects? Any target?

Ankit: Every site will be different from the other and all meant for helping others in making their life on internet beautiful


Main purpose for creating them is to learn but not to earn :-)

Zazo: Most of your communities are built on the Entertainment theme, how you do it successfully other than starting forum games? any events etc?

Ankit: I think everyone seeks fun in communities and communities are meant for members only

I haven’t created any threads in any of my communities rather than in the first one :-)

Members themselves create the threads they want and if they aren’t violating any of the rules of the community they grow else they are deleted :-)

Zazo: Are you planning to start any other community shortly? If yes what will be the theme?

Ankit: As already said I don't wish to be a community master and most of the communities were only meant to set a record on orkut that I think I have already done so no need of creating any new community :-).

earlier record set which I knew was 70k members in 2 days
and mine was 132k in 28hrs :-)

Zazo: Ever experienced the deletion of communities? How much you take security measures for not got gets hacked?

Ankit: Before clicking any link from orkut I check its source code, before using any other pc or any software I check if its safe from key loggers :-)



I didn’t experience deletion of community but orkut keeps deleting my profile :-)

even the profile I am using here got deleted twice and I got it restored later, and my communities were ownerless

I got other 7 of my communities back but 8th one is with some other guy whose not willing to give it back but I will get it back within next week :-)

Zazo: Any best or bad experience with your community members or member? being in touch with so many people surely gave u a popularity, how do you feel it?

Ankit: yeah had a bad experience once while a poll was going on in my first community when it had 100-150 members only

fakes weren’t allowed and the person along with his 2-3 friends were using fakes so i disqualified that person from the poll so they started abusing me in the comments of the poll so I made the community moderated and I banned those guys

everything was relaxed in couple of minutes but after an hour or so a friend of mine told me that they have created many threads abusing me in my community only so i made him the moderator & with his help we both deleted all those threads and banned all those fakes who voted and commented for that guy

another one was on my birthday when my this profile was deleted at 12am just when my b’day got over and all my communities were ownerless. lolz

then i created a new profile for holding ownership for the communities & after a few dayz only that profile was deleted too by orkut. lolz

i got 7/8 communities back but one is with some kid and I am letting him enjoy it for few more days :-)

regarding good experiences I had many good experiences as I got 1000's of friends there who are really close to me now and even I met few of them and in touch with many on phone :-)

Zazo: If Ankit gupta is not online than where he is?

Ankit: that’s pretty tough question :P

but the answer is a simple one though :D

1.) Either waiting for the electricity to come :O
2.) Or sleeping on the chair sitting on which I access my PC :P

Zazo: Your other interest than being on computer and internet?

Ankit: As I told u earlier I love pissing off people with my poetries though all got deleted when orkut deleted my profile and I didn’t have their backups too :-(

I love sorting out everyone's all sorts of prob's in the best way that I can :-)

I am a good bathroom singer too (Disclosing for the first time) :P

And i just want to be a noob always and keep learning from any and everything :-)

Zazo: Where Ankit gupta will be after 10 years?

Ankit: You trapped me rite way at the wrong point :P
